What BetterCollegeGrades does

BetterCollegeGrades organizes university grading information into practical student tools. The main university pages combine a grading-scale reference with a weighted GPA calculator. Selected countries also have dedicated grade-conversion, target-GPA and cumulative-GPA tools.

Our current directory contains 978 university records across 6 countries. The directory changes as records are added, corrected or reviewed.

Where the grading information comes from

Where available, grading records are prepared from publicly available university material such as academic regulations, registrar information, handbooks, catalogs and grading-policy pages. A university page may include a direct source link and a last-reviewed date so students can check the information used by the calculator.

We do not claim that a simple calculator reproduces every registrar rule. University policies may contain exceptions for repeated courses, withdrawals, transfer credit, pass/fail study, excluded subjects, rounding or individual programs.

How the calculators work

The calculators use the grade-point values displayed on the relevant page and apply weighted-average formulas to the course credits or units entered by the user. Results are estimates for planning and comparison, not official academic records.
